Impact Update: Over $5,800 Worth of Basic Needs Supplies Distributed!

In just three months since Beyond the Pantry received its formal incorporation, we have made a massive impact in Leon County! As of today, June 28, 2021, BTP has distributed $5,826 worth of hygiene, daily essentials, and basic dignity items throughout Tallahassee.

So far, 11 local organizations and several initiatives have received boxes of basic needs items – including GFWC Sisters of Service, Food Not Bombs Tallahassee Chapter, Tally Community Aid, Leon County Humane Society, Capital City Youth Services, Refuge House, Big Bend Homeless Coalition, City Walk, the Kearney Center, Community Action Grants, Southern Scholarship Foundation, and various community help shelves, like the Leadership Tallahassee Community Help Shelf located at Big Bend Cares.

We’ve also supported the efforts of the Food Not Bombs Tallahassee Chapter (FNB) with their grocery deliveries initiative, helping round out healthy and fresh food deliveries with the household essentials families need to thrive. If you know folks in Tallahassee who could benefit from free grocery deliveries from FNB, encourage them to fill out this form and text 850-972-8231 when complete.

To date, Beyond the Pantry has received money or in-kind donations from over 25 individual donors and groups. Want to contribute to our efforts around town? Stay tuned… we will be kicking off our Summer Restock Initiative to help us continue our service to the community throughout Summer 2021!

Donating urgent items is easy using BTP’s premade Amazon and Target wishlists and PayPal donation service at http://www.beyondthepantry.org/give.

In-kind donations can be organized via email at beyondthepantryTLH@gmail.com
