On April 7, Beyond The Pantry distributed a large haul of basic needs items, with an estimated value of $314.96, to GFWC Sisters of Service Woman’s Club, Inc. of Tallahassee, FL. Along with our standard packages of toiletries, menstrual products, cleaning products, and other essentials, and this special haul contained over 150 food items collected by the amazing work of the Wakulla Gender Sexuality Alliance. Amazing collaboration!

GFWC SOS will use these donations to help restock the Tallahassee ReFREEgerator Project, which provides food and other basic needs to residents in the Providence and Bond communities in Tallahassee, FL. The founder of the project is Ms. Tonya Williams. Ms. Williams began this project by using her tips as an Uber driver to provide the food for the refrigerator. The GFWC Sisters of Service Woman’s Club has volunteered to donate items to this project on the 1st Monday of every month.

The GFWC Sisters of Service Woman’s Club is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), one of the oldest and largest women’s service organizations in the world. To learn more about GFWC Sisters of Service, click here for the GFWC SOS website and check out their Facebook Page.
